Korea Defense Service Medal

The Korea Defense Service Medal (KDSM) is a U.S. military award established in December 2002 to recognize service members who have supported the defense of South Korea since the Korean War armistice. It is awarded to personnel who have served on active duty in South Korea, its surrounding waters, or its airspace on or after July 28, 1954.
